30 Days of Thanksgiving: Day 10

So thankful to work in the garden on a GORGEOUS November day in Seattle; sunshine and 60 degrees!  Finally got the cover crop seeded (we'll see if it actually grows - late planting) and the rest of our soil pile off the driveway and into the garden beds...  I'm also thankful that Blaine was able to come home early to help with the garden work.  We worked until after dark (not unusual for us), but got it done.  Might have gotten the work done a little quicker, but a few of our neighbors stopped by to chat too.

I decided not to go with the standard crimson clover cover crop this year, but instead I planted Peaceful Valley's Organic Soil Builder Mix (make sure you purchase the inoculant too).  Click on the photo to be linked to their website.

Healthier soil = healthier and more productive veggie garden next season!

My darling maple tree is growing well and wearing its beautiful fall colors.

The Sunshine blueberries have a beautiful purplish, burgundy tone to their leaves.

It was quite dark by the time we finished...

Perhaps I should ask Santa for a solar work light for the garden and/or a headlamp.
