It's always exciting when rhubarb is ready. Spring has really arrived!
Great first harvest... Lots of stalks to process.
Bowl of rhubarb + boiling water + a pot of ice water = time for blanching

1 minute in boiling water
Out of the boiling water and into ice water for another minute
Quick chill!
Draining the rhubarb; almost done...
Paper towel lined tray to drain some of the extra water from the rhubarb.
Then, it's onto the tray and ready for the freezer.
Once they're frozen, it's into containers in 4 cup measures ~ ready for pie fillings!
