Basement verses...

Part of this week's Take Time Tuesdays, but I wanted to highlight these verses separately from what I'm going to share regarding the study. These verses are great foundational verses that help shape our faith... What verses are your "basement" foundation verses? Do they guide you? Do they challenge your heart and the choices you make each day?

As the author of the study shares, these verses are clear, simple and easily understood...

"Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You." Psalm 73:25

"I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You." Psalm 119:11

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

"Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man." Ecclesiastes 12:13b

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protect, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." Ephesians 4:29
