Labor Day 2009 - Seattle Aquarium!

Blaine came to me last night and said, "How about if we go to the aquarium tomorrow?" And, you all know me so well that I said, "That's such a wonderful idea. I'd love to!" Well, no. I actually said, "Are you sure? I'm supposed to be painting the cabinets again tomorrow." Blaine assured me that the cabinets could wait and he really wanted to go to the aquarium with me. Well then ~ yes, yes, YES!

Pretty windy on the pier near the aquarium!

Us in front of the large octopus photo outside the aquarium. I love how you can see the street and the city skyline!

Playing with the starfish in the touch tidepool...

Blaine's turn!

We got lucky and got to watch the sea otters receive their 4:30 afternoon feeding ~ crab today!

Afterwards ~ at the fountain outside the aquarium.
A fun afternoon! Thanks for the date, Blaine!

  1. I know I've said it before, but I DO like your hair curly! :)

So lovely that you and Blaine got to go out and forget everyday life for an afternoon!

I'm thinking Kym and I should take a leaf out of your book, and go on a date. Does ten pin bowling with the kids count?

  2. Glad you like the curly hair, but I'm just not a fan (with the gray). I think it makes me look older... Wore it curly today, because it's been raining here all weekend and it wasn't worth straightening my hair and have it curl up if we got wet.

Do I really have to answer your question? "With the kids" - NO WAY! Bowling sounds fun as a family activity, but find something to do with just Kym. :)

  3. She's right, your hair is so cute curly, and no it doesn't make you look older, in fact younger looking.

Glad you guys had so much fun at the aquariam. Looks like you did from the pictures.
