Last week, I finally talked to a manager that 'had a clue'. She was great! I checked in with her on Tuesday and the shelves were in stock. She apologized that the wait had been so lengthy and Ikea wanted to take care of me by offering me a $100 gift card (which I was able to use toward the cost of the shelves)! What a huge blessing!
We put Benjamin's shelves in right away, so he could finally put his things away. Saturday, Blaine and I spent several hours putting the books and home education and garden books/supplies away. It's finally feeling like the basement remodel will come to a close in the next couple of weeks and all the space will be useable!
The majority of my home education curriculum, photo albums and gardening books!
Look! There is still room for more books on the gardening shelf!
Look! There is still room for more books on the gardening shelf!
And, with multiple home/garden projects going on ~ it's no wonder I'm having a challenge getting things done in a 'quick' amount of time... :)
What I wouldn't give for a wall of book shelves! My books are scattered about all over the house and I hate that! I have just spent time looking for a book I promised I would lend to Jodi and I CAN'T FIND IT! Aaarrrgh! So frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel! For years, we've had 5 tall bookcases, a long low bookcase and the children each have their own small(er) bookcase. I did have to condense our books and get rid of some too. Although after we got all of this done ~ Blaine and Elizabeth discovered 2 more boxes of books that need to get put somewhere! Blaine is going to put shelves between the bookcase (a space where another bookcase was too big to fit) - good thing because those books have to find a place!
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, I actually alphabetized the books we've accumulated over the years for home education - classics, etc. It will be so much easier to find books (and not purchase a duplicate copy)...
I hope you find the book you're looking for!
Wow!!!!Can't believe the boxes are empty and all on the shelves. Leave it to the kids to find more. The shelves are beautiful. Bet Benj was happy to finally get to put his clothes away. Leave it to you to alphabetize. You are so truly organized.
ReplyDeleteBut it all looks great. Mom
