First fall storm
I saw you toss the kites on high
And blow the birds about the sky;
And all around I heard you pass,
Like ladies' skirts across the grass
Oh wind, a blowing all day long,
Oh wind, that sings so loud a song!
I saw the different things you did,
But always you yourself you hid.
I felt you push, I heard you call,
I could not see yourself at all
Oh wind, a blowing all day long!
Oh wind, that sings so loud a song!
O you that are so strong and cold,
O blower, are you young or old?
Are you a beast of field and tree,
Or just a stronger child than me?
O wind, a blowing all day long,
O wind, that sings so loud a song!
The picture of our backyard doesn't really do justice to all the leaves blown everywhere (and covering everything) following our first real fall storm...

A little of this, a little of that...
Benjamin and Kirstin's wedding quilt
Benjamin and Kirstin's ring pillow made from my wedding dress and representing:- Something old ~ my dress
- Something new ~ the ring pillow
- Something borrowed ~ Nancy's talent to embroider the pillow and a piece of their quilt fabric to add to the "stuffing" inside
- Something blue ~ the embroidery and the ribbon
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Harris

Restoration
I am restoring - well, more like RECONSTRUCTING my blog. It may not happen for a couple months though, as we have 2 graduations and a wedding plus an 18th birthday all in the next 2 months!
So many details, so much to do!
I've got a wedding quilt to make for our son and future daughter-in-law, graduations to celebrate, a ring pillow to make (and have embroidered) and a couple special bride gifts to make too. I'm hoping when all this hard work and celebrating is finished, I'll have my sanity returned to me...
I have managed to get most of the garden planted, but don't think I'll be spending much time out there until late June.
I'm looking forward to blogging again. Hang in there!
Abundant blessings!
