My naturopath prescribed herbal tea for me, as part of my healing journey. I loved reading this blog post by Sister Sage Herbs called In Honor of Mothers where she talks about Wood Betony. I had never heard of it prior to my prescription, but I really appreciate it now... It is very calming.
Hawthorn berries are another part of my tea combination. Sister Sage Herbs had a blogpost about them called Hawthorn berries are great for the heart. They add a little sweetness to the tea, but I'm most thankful for how they are helping to strengthen my heart.
Another excerpt from their blog: Hawthorn is great for the heart! For vascular health, and for spiritually opening up the heart to receive love. It helps those who are grieving to heal the broken heart, and recognize the love that was shared.
A small amount of skullcap is the final component of my tea. Sister Sage Herbs has a blogpost about it called Skullcap - A Great Night Cap. Not as much information as the previous links, but you do discover its purpose = relaxation.I drink a cup of this tea every evening with just a touch of raw honey for a little extra sweetener. I am truly thankful for Susan Jones, ND at One Earth Natural Medicine. She is truly a blessed healer in my life.

One note of clarification: Sister Sage Herbs is a wonderful source for information regarding herbs. I truly appreciate their insights and what they share. However, I do not share their spiritual beliefs. I do believe that God created herbs to keep us healthy and bless us with healing when in need. Our amazing Father is the Creator and it's not surprising that what He created has just what we need...
I often wonder why there aren't more believers in Jesus as naturopaths, herbalists and voices for a less toxic, more organic world???? God calls us to be good stewards of this earth. And, I believe He created natural beauty in this world to surround us with His love, that the wonder of it all would draw us closer to Him and, yet, our voices seem lost in a sea of much louder voices... Why is that?
Update: As soon as I posted this, I went to facebook and saw the Washington Toxic Coalition had posted this: Superhero of the Week: Dana Swanson. One thing led to another and I had to know what "Earth Ministry" meant...
